School History

Lal Bahadur Shastri Senior Secondary School run by an Education Society "Janta Adarsh Shiksha Sansthan". In the year 1966 a group of admirers of Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, with an objective to promote the cherished dream of this great reformer got this society regestered at New Delhi. Shastri ji’s widow, late Smt. Lalita Shastri and his son Late Shri Hari Krishan Shastri provided active support to the society as well as the school during their life -time. From a humble beginning in tents the school today is housed in an impressive building made possible by the helping hand of Shri Jai Prakash Aggarwal, the chairman of the school Managing Committee.
The School has well equipped Chemistry Lab. which provide quality education to the students.
A big Playground along with various kinds of sports material enables students to play games and keep fit .
The School has well equipped Bio Lab.which provide quality education to the students.
The School has two fully well equipped Computer Labs. which provide quality education to the students and where children are made to handle tha computers themselves.Computer education forms an essential part of academics, making it compulsory for it's students from class-I onwards. the internet operation & e-mail facility has been provided in the computer labs.
The school has a well furnished Library-cum-Reading Roomwherenecessary facilities to sit and study are provided.The students can borrow books from library.The school subscribes to a wied range of national news papers & periodicals which give the children the latest and best available information and imbibe the "reading" habit in them. . Library periods are provided for the classes and students are encouraged to utilise the library to the fullest.The School bookshop provides easy availibility of books and material to the students.
Co-Curricular Activities also run by school at time to time. The students have been divided into 4 Houses to provide healthy competition in order to bring out the best in them. Athleties, other sports, Yoga, Art & Music form an integral part of the activities. The school has participated in Inter- Zone meets under various fields & activities and secured good positions.
